SCHOOL RULES AND REGULATIONS
Attendance and Punctuality

All students are asked be punctual and report to class on time daily (our classes start at 7:00 A.M);

If a student arrives late to class, he/she is asked to report back to the administrative offices before going to class;

In case of absence, parents must call in prior to the start of the school day to report the absence as excused, the student must submit a supportive medical report for prolonged or reoccurring absences, or upon the request of the administration;

In case of pre-planned absence (travel or any reason), parents should apply for an excused leave of absence at least 10 school days prior to the date of the absence a week ahead. Absences because of travel, vacation, etc., are strongly discouraged;

In case of absence or tardiness, the student and parent accept full responsibility for the completion of assignments, projects, homework, etc. as per the instructions of the administration.

In the case of student absence, students are allowed an equal number of days to submit makeup work as they were absent for an excused reason. (Illness, family emergencies, etc., are examples of excused absences.)

If a child is absent from school, the student may not participate in after school activities, clubs, sports, or events.

For the protection of your child students cannot leave school early without proper approval written and via phone call by the parents or legal guardians. This must be approved by the principal in advance and the student must be picked up from the administrative offices of the school.
Facilities and School Property
Students should respect the school's facilities, campus and property.

Students should take care of the school's property and are held responsible if any damage takes place;

The school's classes, buildings and entire campus should be kept clean;

If a student causes any damage in the school's property, he/she will handle the cost of replacement
General Conduct and Safety
All students should be caring, responsible, problem solvers and respect others (students, teachers, administration and the entire Cedars staff)

Avoid using abusive language;

Respect all members of the community;

Buying or selling personal items is forbidden;

Remain within the school boundaries;

Never leave the campus without a parent or legal guardian;

Weapons or any dangerous materials are prohibited;
Personal Grooming
Students must abide by the school's prescribed uniform and grooming rules

Hair must always be kept neat and tidy and clean;

Girls must always tie their hair back into a pony tail, bun, pigtails or braids. Hair cannot be worn lose on their shoulders;

Boys must maintain a short haircut;
-
Fancy hair styles, nail polish, make-up, and jewelry are forbidden;
-
If a student couldn't abide by the school's uniform, parents should report that to his/her supervisor;
-
Students are asked to take care of their personal grooming and cleanness (smell, teeth, skin and hair...)
